Dear Breakers Family,
From everyone at the Boston Breakers organization we would like to thank you for such amazing support during this 2012 WPSL Elite season. While the season did not have the ending we so much wanted, your support throughout was amazing.
We had many successes this season, both on and off the field. The team was undefeated at our new home (Dilboy Stadium in Somerville, Mass.), sold out every single home game, seeing more than 15,000 Breakers faithful walk through the gates, and capping off the regular season with a first-place finish.
Our social media following has rapidly increased, and our new website has seen more than four million hits since February.
We aim to provide the best possible environment for our players, but just as important for us is to provide the best possible experience for our fans. The soccer that Breakers Head Coach Lisa Cole’s team played this year was at a very high level, always exciting, and the team was committed to winning and performing for you, the fans.
We could not have had the successful season as we did without you. As a team/organization, we consider ourselves to be a family. This season really proved to us the “Breakers family” continues to expand through our fan base. You are as big a part of our success this year than anyone. To see so many supporters at our games, events, clinic programs, and embracing our players as much as you did, strengthened the bond, making us realize we need to do more for you.
We hope we exceeded your expectations and made you feel part of the “Breakers family.”
Preparations for the 2013 season are already under way; we expect to release some exciting news in the coming weeks. During the offseason, we will be working hard, continuing to update you on players, events, and the upcoming season, Please be sure to follow our updates on Facebook, Twitter (@bostonbreakers), Instagram (bostonbreakers), and our website, www.bostonbreakerssoccer.com.
Thank you all for supporting the Boston Breakers and women’s soccer. See you in 2013 when we expect the “Breakers family” will continue to grow together on and off the field.
