Breakers to take part in Families of Inspiration event

Saturday's family festival will raise awareness of family homelessness

Members of the Boston Breakers will head to Wellesley, Massachusetts on Saturday, May 5 for the Families of Inspiration festival, held on the campus of Babson College.

The inaugural Families of Inspiration event, which begins at 11 a.m., is a family festival that is focused on raising awareness of family homelessness. The benefit event supports the local nonprofit One Family. The day also will feature live performances by local artists, games, and other activities geared toward children ages 2-10.

Elli Reed, Bianca D’Agostino, Julie King, Veronica Napoli, Tameka Butt, Kyah Simon, and Head Coach Lisa Cole will represent the Breakers at the event and will put on a soccer demonstration outside on the Knight Lawn and later will sign autographs.

For more than a decade, One Family has been committed to its mission to end family homelessness in Massachusetts by developing innovative programs that reverse the widespread and chronic effects of poverty and homelessness.
