(April 26, 2016) – The Boston Breakers announced today that the club has signed forward Elise Krieghoff. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With the signing of Krieghoff, Sinead Farrelly has been placed on the 45-day disabled list.

Krieghoff starred at Cal-Poly University, scoring a school-record 52 goals and tallying eight assists in 71 games during her four-year career.

“Elise has come in and done very well during our preseason. She is a natural goal scorer, which is hard to find,” Breakers head coach Matt Beard said. “I'm really looking forward to seeing how she will progress over the course of the season and I'm confident she can have an impact.”

The 5-foot, 8-inch Clovis, Calif. native finished her career at Cal-Poly as one of five Senior CLASS Award First-Team All-Americans in the nation. She was one of two four-time all-conference first-team honorees in the 20-year history of the Big West, and her nine player-of-the-week accolades were the most ever.

The Breakers host Portland Thorns FC this Sunday, May 1, at 5 p.m. ET. Tickets are on sale now at breakerstickets.com.
