The Boston Breakers are proud to announce a partnership with Andover Soccer Association (ASA) and the launch of a Boston Breakers Academy program with ASA.
"As an organization we are delighted to be partnering with Andover Soccer Association to launch a Boston Breakers Academy program," Boston Breakers General Manager Lee Billiard said. "ASA follows the same development philosophy we have; it makes for a great partnership. We look forward to developing their players, coaches, and the partnership over the years."
The Breakers Academy is the only professional women’s soccer youth development program in New England, offering young female players an opportunity to learn the game from Boston Breakers professional players and fully licensed coaches who will deliver coaching instruction focused on technical skill building, ball mastery, and tactical instruction.
The Boston Breakers Academy will be aimed at players aged 8-12 years, specifically targeting players who need/desire extra development and advanced training to supplement what they do within their local community soccer program.
The Academy will be a training only program which means players will train with their Academy team but continue to play with their town teams meaning host towns benefit from the extra professional training, but also maintain numbers in their programs.
"Andover Soccer is excited to announce that the Boston Breakers Academy will be coming to Andover this spring," Andover Soccer Association Board Member John Billings said. "The Breakers Academy will bring world class professional athletes to Andover to teach, train, and inspire our youth players and coaches. Andover Soccer is looking forward to creating a strong ongoing partnership with the Boston Breakers organization."
