The Boston Breakers are proud to announce a partnership with and the launch of a Breakers Academy Program with Medfield Youth Soccer.

"We are happy to add Medfield Soccer to our Boston Breakers Academy programming. They have a great program and development philosophy that we are looking forward to advance over the course of the academy partnership," Boston Breakers General Manager Lee Billiard said.

Medfield Youth Soccer becomes the fourth Breakers Academy partnership since the program’s launch. Medfield joins the towns of Andover, Somerville, and Weston.

“We are excited to be working with the Breakers, bringing their skill and expertise to our players,” Medfield Youth Soccer President Teresa Prego said. “Having them work with our girls will provide our players with some great role models, as well as developing their soccer capabilities.

The Breakers Academy is the only professional women’s soccer youth development program in New England, offering young female players an opportunity to learn the game from Boston Breakers professional players and fully licensed coaches who will deliver coaching instruction focused on technical skill building, ball mastery, and tactical instruction.

The Boston Breakers Academy will be aimed at players aged 8-12 years, specifically targeting players who need/desire extra development and advanced training to supplement what they do within their local community soccer program.

The Academy will be a training only program which means players will train with their Academy team but continue to play with their town teams meaning host towns benefit from the extra professional training, but also maintain numbers in their programs.
