Marlborough, 25, appeared in one match this season, playing 24 minutes in a 3-0 loss to Seattle Reign FC at home on April 24.

In 2015, she scored three goals for the Breakers. She set career highs last season in appearances (16), starts (eight), and goals scored (three). In two seasons with the Breakers, Marlborough logged 701 minutes.

The former Santa Clara star was the No. 12 overall pick in the 2014 NWSL College Draft by FC Kansas City. Marlborough was acquired by the Breakers on Oct. 27, 2014, a trade that sent Heather O’Reilly to FC Kansas City in exchange for Marlborough and defender Kassey Kallman.

In her rookie season of 2014, Marlborough scored two goals on just five shots on goal in 247 minutes, starting two of the nine games she appeared in for the Blues. She scored her first goal as a Breaker on May 2, 2015, a 3-1 loss on the road against the Western New York Flash. She also scored against Seattle Reign FC (June 21, a 3-2 loss at home) and FC Kansas City (July 10, a 3-2 loss at home).
