Boston Breakers partner with The University Sports Complex

 The Boston Breakers are proud to announce a partnership with The University Sports Complex at Starland in Hanover, Mass. 

(Oct. 7, 2013) - The Boston Breakers are proud to announce a partnership with The University Sports Complex at Starland in Hanover, Mass. The state-of-the-art facility is the largest sports complex in all of New England. It features a 132 x 40 yard indoor turf field, two turf fields in all, as well as eight basketball courts which are lined for multiple uses including volleyball and futsal specific dimensions, an outdoor activity park, indoor strength/conditioning gym plus facilities to host multiple sports all in one location.

"It really is an amazing facility. They have all bases covered when it comes to providing state of the art facilities for all sports. Not only do they focus on attracting people to the sports complex, but they have other amenities that families can take part in aside from their chosen sport that day,” Boston Breakers General Manager Lee Billiard said. “We are excited to be partnering with such a fantastic facility. We pride ourselves on being professional and giving Breakers players, fans, and families the best of the best. It will be a fantastic place for our senior pro team and youth teams to train. On top of that, The University Sports Complex will be our main South Shore base for a Boston Breakers Development Training Center."


The Breakers will not only use the complex for their professional and youth academy teams to train they will also build in futsal tournaments, vacation week programs, and its first development training center on the South Shore, which will provide professional supplemental training sessions for elite players across the South Shore.

“We are really excited to be associated with the Boston Breakers professional women’s soccer team and building a soccer presence on the South Shore,” said Frank Teixeira, one of the facility’s majority owners. “The University Sports Complex is the premier sports facility on the South Shore, and we’re looking forward to having the Breakers there.”

The Boston Breakers will be announcing more information on a December Futsal tournament plus details on the winter and spring Development Training Center in the coming weeks.
