Allysha Chapman one of 10 Canadian subsidized players for 2017

(Jan. 25, 2017) - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) has announced the official list of Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team subsidized players for the 2017 season. Boston Breakers defender Allysha Chapman is included in the list. The Canadian Soccer Association will once again be subsidizing the salaries of their respective players.

(Jan. 25, 2017) - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) has announced the official list of Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team subsidized players for the 2017 season. Boston Breakers defender Allysha Chapman is included in the list. The Canadian Soccer Association will once again be subsidizing the salaries of their respective players.

Chapman joined the Breakers on Nov. 29, 2016 via a trade with the Houston Dash. Capped 39 times for the Canadian Women’s National Team, Chapman has started 27 games for Canada, scoring one goal and tallying two assists. She recently won the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio. She claimed silver at the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship and was on Canada’s team that finished first at the 2016 Algarve Women’s Cup.
