After each game, Boston Breakers’ fans will have a chance to win free dry cleaning by voting for the “Dependable Play of the Game.” Videos will be posted 24-48 hours post-game. Facebook fans must ‘like’ Dependable Cleaners’ Facebook page and leave a comment on the contest post, to vote for the best play of the game. The video with the most votes will be crowned the “Dependable Play of The Game” and one lucky voter will be randomly selected to win $20 in free dry cleaning from Dependable Cleaners. Fans will have two days to vote for the play of the game.

As part of the partnership, the Boston Breakers will support Dependable Cleaners’ Read to Ride community initiative by hosting a reading and soccer clinic this summer to encourage children to read and enjoy the outdoors.  Additional partnership initiatives include Dependable Cleaners as the title sponsor for the Boston Breakers game on July 21 against Portland Thorns; presence at the Boston Breakers’ home games and select soccer clinics; and dry cleaning service of the players’ practice and game jerseys.

"As we expected, Kansas City is a good team. They have good players all over the pitch," Breakers Head Coach Lisa Cole said. "I thought we did a good job early on, creating opportunities, but we didn’t capitalize on those opportunities. They were able to find the net first, and that put a little pressure on us."

Cuellar’s goal came in the 18th minute. Played in over the top, the speedy forward collected a pass from Cheney and darted through the Breakers back line. She beat Breakers keeper Cecilia Santiago for the 1-0 lead. Cuellar’s goal tied her with Breakers forward Sydney Leroux and Washington’s Diana Matheson for the league lead in goals scored with four.

FC Kansas City tried doubling its lead in the 38th minute when Kristie Mewis put a shot on goal, but Santiago made a great diving stop on the former Boston College midfielder to keep it at a one-goal margin. The Blues did, however, take a two-goal lead, but it didn’t come until the 64th minute. Casey Loyd’s set piece found former Breaker Lauren Cheney in the box, right in front of Santiago. Cheney bodied it past Santiago for the 2-0 KC lead.

The Breakers had two decent looks on goal in the second half, one in the 69th minute by Kyah Simon, who got off a quick shot near the top of the box, one that nearly caught FC Kansas City keeper Nicole Barnhart off guard. Late in the match, Norwegian international Lisa-Marie Woods took a shot from distance, one that Barnhart handled to preserve her league-leading third shutout of the season.

"They were just better than we were today," Cole said. "But it was a good matchup, and we look forward to getting back on the field and changing the score the next time."
