The Boston Breakers announced a brand new College Academy Program that launched in late spring 2013 and ran through the summer months. After the success of the 2013 season, making the regional playoffs in the first year, we will again be entering a College Academy team into the WPSL for 2014. The College Academy program provides elite level training and a competitive game environmnet for collegiate players during their off season. Players will practice 3 times a week and play competitive games in the Northeast Atlantic - North Division of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
Those taking part in the College Academy program have the opportunity to train, learn and play alongside the Boston Breakers senior professional and reserve team.
"The Breakers have always had a few young high school, college, and National Team players jump into training over the years with us because we feel that it is important for players to realize there is another level and pace you can play the game at, but you need to be technically proficient,"
"You need to think ahead and play to your strengths. We have seen the benefits of this training when these players go back to their college teams. A good example of this is Maddy Evans, who has spent the last two summers with the Breakers Reserve team and in the full team’s training, and is now having great success at Penn State."
